What is DayZero?

Inspired by ArmA 2 DayZ Epoch, DayZero puts you in the perspective of one of the few Eastern European survivors of the so-called Z-Apocalypse: a catastrophic disease outbreak that has happened about half a decade ago and led to the extinction of billions of people, of which most have resurrected to become Zombies and roam the streets of abandoned towns and villages. Over years, humanity tried to combat the disease by killing all zombies, which has greatly reduced their numbers.

Now, as the situation has become calmer, new challenges have emerged for those who are still alive…

What to expect?

Using the Heros Survive Mod and a huge collection of scripts as its base, this scenario features an unique and quite realistic singleplayer gameplay experience. There are countless things to do… from exploring abandoned survivor camps with your dog to building your own base and fighting off reckless bandits. Do whatever you like, whether it’s hunting animals and selling their meat, killing zombies in a desperate attempt to find loot or simply seeking for the perfect weapon.

It’s all possible without the need to worry about getting killed by deathmatching players just a few minutes after spawning or being shot in the head by a sniper who has been laying at the same spot for hours.

IMPORTANT:
The notes you find ingame (when you open your map) contains detailed information on the situation as well as a list of tips. You always have the option to save and reload your game.

Known Bugs:
– HUD does not reload after joining (However, stats will remain the same)
– Some loot crates spawn in wrong position (not fixable)

Other Comments:
Please keep in mind that this mission was exclusively created for singleplayer. The creation of DayZero from scratch took me far beyond 60 hours up to this point and I put a lot of effort into this scenario. However, it is still in a BETA stage of development, so please do not forget to give me feedback on this mission. Thank you!

In my missions you will get objectives randomly around the map. The main objective is to take control of areas defended by either Opfor or Independent. You can choose how many objectives you need to complete in the lobby parameters. There is a 50/50 chance to spawn a side mission in the area that needs to be completed before you can complete the main mission. The mission is succeded when the choosen number of objectives are completed or the mission is failed if you run out of respawn tickets.

Features:
1-16 Players.
Random Startlocation.
Different Objectives in random locations.
Random Time / Date.
Dynamic Weather.
Choose between Mx and Spar Weapon systems.
Supplydrop and Extraction is Avalible in the Actionmenu.
Uses “End Game Revive System”.

Quick Guide:
Each Squad have a assigned helicopter for transport to the objectives.
Alpha 1-1 have a helo named Helo1 and Alpha 1-2 have a helo named Helo2
The squadleader assigns a objective in the taskmenu and a landingzone will be created in the vicinity of choosen objective.
All squadmembers in the base must be in the helo for liftoff.
When the objective is completed you can call for extraction in the action menu to get back to base.
If your low on ammo you can call for a supplydrop.
Extraction and supplydrop is not avalible if your assigned helicopter is busy.

Operation Takistani Freedom Episode 1 – The Lalazar Oil Fields

Its been 10 years since a coalition, led by USA, defeated the Takistani army in Operation Desert Wind. A puppet government was put in place but Takistan was plagued by civil war in the following years.

The civil unrest created the perfect conditions for the growth of the terrorist group called ISID. The group won some important battles against the Takistani government and seized control of oil fields which they use to finance their army. The ISID have claimed responsibility for terrorist attacks all over the world and this year the US Army have been sent back to help the Takistani army defeat ISID.

In part 1 you will take the role of an A-10 pilot on a mission to soften up some hard ISID targets around the Lalazar oil Fields in preparation for a Takistani assault aimed at taking back the oil field.

Events soon spiral out of control and the hunter becomes the hunted.

Shorker’s 1st Squad, on the June 6th 1944 succeeded in destroying the, 17” pounder covering the harbour entrance. The first invasion barges have docked, disembarking troops and armour.

The Fallschirmjager, Germany Army, 2nd Battalion, 7th Company together with the Luftwaffe endeavour to hold the harbour and to take the control of surrounding bridges.

Today it is warm, the light rain has cleared, leaving the ground damp, visibility hazy.

You’re taking role of SBS squadleader and your objective is to infiltrate enemy compound, locate any enemy intel and get out before reinforcements arrive.

Weather is randomized with every mission start so if it isn’t what you expected just reload the mission from beginning.

Description:
An afghan contact of ours in gave us some information about a Taliban meeting .
It is in a small village deep in enemy territory and several ranking Taliban officers will be there.

The village is about 15 klicks behind enemy lines. Afghan forces are still fighting with the Taliban on the border, so expect a lot of bodies and burned out vehicles in the village.

We do not have any intelligence on when the meeting is happening so you will be leaving ASAP. A transport is ready and waiting for you. It will take you to 8 klicks out from the target. From there you will be on foot.

Your primary objective is to sweep the village and collect intel about enemy forces, weaponry, etc. In a few days our US and Afghan allies will begin an assault to retake Kunduz City from the Taliban.

Any information you collect will help in this effort.

How you proceed is up to you but staying quiet is recommended. Remember, this is in bandit country, if you make yourself known, the Taliban will swarm you in no time

Bastogne Plus One Campaign and Bulge Plus One Campaign

Guys, these are my designs. They are memory heavy, lots of units, so save often. I used about 30-40 saves per campaign, especially at the end of scenarios. Then, if it crashes, (not often) you can reload the last and continue.

The Caribou Incident by Extaz93

A Ravage coop mission for 1-4 players.

I’m proud to introduce you my first public mission released on Arma 3 (the last time i shared missions on the internet was for the first Operation Flashpoint !). I have played hundreds of hours on Ravage mod. I enjoy it really much. I think i’ve tried every published mission using that mod on steam or bis forums. I enjoyed some, i’ve been frightened sometime, but most of the time missions where just a bunch of modules put together with only a survival aspect. After playing a lot of “just survive” or “escape” missions, i wanted something else, to play with my buddies and feel something more intense in the Ravaged world. I have made 3 or 4 missions with Ravage modules before sharing this one and i hope you will love it.

Pitch:
You are 4 US ARMY soldiers left on Caribou Island after the White Pleague started.
You have to find your way through the island and to complete three objectives :
– Find the laptop containing secret documents about the virus (2 random spots)
– Retrieve the infected blood from patient zero in a CSAT LAB. (static spot)
– Escape with a helicopter that you’ll have to repair first (3 random spots)

Features:
– You are 4 US ARMY soldiers : you start with nice weapons, a bunch of ammos, maps, and you’re not civilians or desperate survivors like in most Ravage missions.
– Each soldier has his speciality : 1 team leader (starting with a gut knife and binoculars), 1 rifleman, 1 sniper and 1 gunner-engineer (starting with a bag and a toolkit).
– Lots of points of interest : CSAT lab, random bandits camps, CSAT roadblocks with ammos and water, old us army base where you can get hoses and vehicules, gas stations where you can get toolkits and empty cannisters…
– Random starting position for the US ARMY team
– Punishing death system : you respawn after 30 seconds at the same place without your bags, loot or weapons. You only respawn with your uniform/gear/vest and a 9mm handgun ! But your friends can loot your body just before
you respawn if they are fast enough ! Teamwork is important here.
– All types of zombies. A lot of hordes walking around.
– Vehicles wrecks presence set on medium, and a few manually placed wrecks in strategic places.
– Time acceleration set on X8 so maybe you will have to play during the night. (with zombies spawn increased).
– Lots of hostile bandits/survivors (population factor : 2)
– RHS equipment in the loot system.
– Even if you are well trained soldiers, survival system is there and important (lack of food on the island, strategic place where you can find water, radiation system on…)
– Should be FPS friendly now (most of units use caching system and i tried to put as less as static objects as i could to keep FPS high.)
– Mission needs 1-3 hours playing, depending on the way you handle it.

Known issues: (as i’m some kind of noob modder, could get some help here !)
– Briefing and tasks are not showing on the loading screen before starting mission. When you start mission, it works well, so you should take cover and read the briefing and all the notes.
– There is no popup to tell you when you have completed a task, only a hint message, but don’t worry tasks are well checked in the briefing menu.
– You can “cheat” and escape to win the mission without completing the 2 first tasks. (had a problem with condition trigger here…)
